A 3 headed partially skeletal deer sporting a curse known has Wailing Witchrot. The curse causes the body to rot from the inside out but never killing the host and never causing any pain whatsoever. The wailing in the name comes from the deer constantly screaming either in muted tones or deafening screeches. Mutation is also possible. Like gaining 2 extra heads or limbs. Undoing such a curse, requires a healing leaf. But once undone, the body cannot turn to completely normal and will require normal techniques to naturally heal. Unfortunately if Witchrot is undone during the "later" stages, it would be giving the deer a killing mercy. You can't naturally have your full head back right? Better to undo the curse as early as possible.

Doing a different approach to stylized ceta stuff again. This time it's more of a balance between stylized and realistic. I'm starting with Nakai, who is still one of my favorites even years after his passing. I'll do other SeaWorld San Diego orcas in this style soon. #orca #illustration #animalart

Nakai a young adult male Icelandic killer whale who lived at SeaWorld San Diego up until his passing on August 4, 2022. He was easily identified by his large pectoral flippers, tall dorsal fin which leaned towards his left side with two notches near the tip, and noticeably asymmetrical flukes, with the left remaining mostly straight and the right curling in significantly. His eyepatches were thin and diamond shaped. Another trait that made him distinguishable was the indentation on his lower jaw from an injury he received earlier in his life.

The art style is in between stylized and realistic using grainy brushes. Though the original illustration was a png, I added a background which is stylized artwork of the underwater viewing area at SeaWorld San Diego, which has clear blue water. Nakai was also shaded to fit with the background.
