The house next door has finally sold so in a few weeks I'll have neighbours, which will be weird. Nice young couple. They like cats. Today the Dad was up working & G, the only hunter I like stopped to chat, so I went to introduce them and turns out they'd worked together for years before retiring.

Physical emotion, lump in throat, scratchy eyes at news of Frank Turner retiring. Son going to try to get tickets for over a year in the future. Jetlag (quoted only yesterday?) and Ballad of the Magi have worn grooves in my soul. In the end the journeys brought joys to outweigh the pain.
