When you go on vacation, do you ever go to public libraries in other places and want to check out the books you find there? These two were calling out to me from a little library in the San Juan Islands...
Two book covers: "Same Difference" by Derek Kirk Kim and "The Gigantic Beard that was Evil" by Stephen Collins.

Fiddling with my website tonight. When I first put it together, the pandemic had just hit and I was teetering on the brink of a major career pivot. Feels good to be going back into this project from a much more stable place, aiming to simplify and streamline.

In a life that can get overwhelmed by digital nonsense, sometimes I just like to contemplate my pencil stubs. 😸
Seven stubby pencils in a row. Five of them are two-sided, mostly graphite on one end and yellow highlighter pencil on the other. One has red on one side, blue on the other. The other two are the fancy Blackwing pencils, which I rather like but I hear that the historic recipe used to be even better.

Do you, like me, keep an informal mental list of places to admire people's dogs in Seattle? New and very satisfying addition to that list: Monorail Espresso in South Lake Union. They have a little mail slot flap at base of the pick-up window where dog treats get dispensed! 🐶
