This--still up on the CDC's website--was a thing #scientists accomplished when we (a bipartisan we) supported them and their work. Today, an unvaccinated child in Texas died and @apnews.com reports that vaccine skeptic/HHS secretary RFK Jr. "dismissed the Texas outbreak as 'not unusual.'"

Update: BIRLS.org has now sent 12,400+ #FOIA requests in just the ~63 days since launch. That's ~20% of what the VBA (the relevant sub-agency within the VA) usually gets in a single *year*! And yet the letters *are* going out, and some people are starting to get their C-Files too. Kudos to the VA!

I don’t like the phrasing of this headline. I think it’s more than ok to address this issue without phrasing the headline as if it has to come at the expense of women’s health, which is historically under-researched.

Just received a response from the National Archives for military personnel records I requested. Sadly, the records were destroyed in the 1973 National Personnel Records Center fire and they only had an index card with very basic data. Fingers crossed that the VA has more records. 🤞
