What Happened Before The Big Bang?
We normally think of the Big Bang as the very beginning of our Universe, but we now know the story goes back even before it. Here’s how.

I get it, you're all focused on different things so you name them differently. But what do you mean recombination epoch is the same thing as era of atoms which is the same as decoupling epoch but at the same time not the same, same era-ish though

Frustrations of a non-scientist in a scientist world All I wanted was to make a silly little doodle of the typical "story of the universe" graph. I now have 0 doodles and 4 pages of notes * Agressively grabs scientist by the collar * you. need. standardized. naming. conventions. #scicomm #sciart

Just watched @hankgreen.bsky.social masterclass in manipulation, and wanted to recommend a very useful tool to understand where electricity comes from, its co2 impact anywhere in the world, in real time, and over time. Perfect for graphs! Map | Electricity Maps share.google/grzN7G3igNpV...

Thats actually great to know, I created a proton email account and I'm planning to slowly move over there, but I haven't used all the other things so far and I was slightly worried since I heavily use online storage, is it good for sharing with clients even if they have a google account?

Can not tell you how excited I am to read this book. I believe we can not create what we can not imagine, in a world where being positive keeps getting harder I want to be radically hopefull and keep trying @ayanaeliza.bsky.social

Remember the poster inspired by stained glass? Well, I decided to actually try making a mini version, in real glass. I haven't cut or solder glass in my entire life. Maybe starting with 32 pieces was a bad idea. I forgot I could’ve just painted glass instead. It’s awful. I love it. #sciart #art

Thank you so much, it is! And there is a whole study about it these days and lots of research about it, the latest big was if we should include dna or not out of safety, but if you are curious you should check interstellar foundation for example, their whole purpose is to answer those questions

A few months ago @juangallego.bsky.social sent me Ramon y Cajal drawings and I suddenly got obssesed with #neurons synapses and glial cells. Hope you like it! Store:https://kategraphiccreations.etsy.com #scicomm #scientificillustration #sciart
Poster of a glowing green and teal neuron with a central cell body, dendrites, and a myelinated axon. Surrounding glial cells and abstract neurotransmitter shapes appear in the background. A hexagon inset shows a synapse releasing neurotransmitters. Some background textures are inspired by Ramón y Cajal’s classic neuron drawings. At the bottom, text reads: “NEURON, The mysterious butterflies of the soul,” a quote by Ramón y Cajal.

May's temperatures (at last). Another warm month - warmer than the last two years as you can see from the orange colours, though chillier nights (more purple) - I'm guessing that's because of the clear skies and lack of rain. #temperatureembroidery #sciart
