Yeahhh I would too but this one is non-credit. Mostly they end up shooting themselves in the foot if they do this. Like “oops I put my secret sauce into the plagiarism machine and now I can’t get a patent” mostly hurts you. Thankfully, AI note takers are easy to banish in Zoom 😇

I’ve been banning them in a course I run because there’s proprietary information discussed in meetings that could affect patents and other intellectual property. We’ve also had to say “please do not put confidential information into public LLMs” every time we run the program 😵‍💫

Thank you. My mom turned 18 the same year women were allowed to open credit cards in their own names. I didn’t even think twice. She also faced ENORMOUS sexism at school/work on a level I can’t fathom. It’s okay to say things are better without being complacent about the future of said outcomes!

I've been seriously rethinking my career because of this. If there are genuinely good use cases for it fine, sell me. But if it replaces or substitutes my critical thinking, writing, and creativity, that's a hard pass for me. Yet the attitude seems to be "if you don't use it you're falling behind"
