Latest Watershed Investigations reveal - 16,000 chemicals identified as present in plastics - 4200 are known hazardous chemicals - 10,000 have never been robustly tested, so it's unknown if they're safe. So let's revisit the world of plastic.. eastangliabylines.co.uk/environment/...

Plastic – toxic, polluting and very, very big business
Plastic is endemic. It’s everywhere. It’s cheap. It’s versatile. It's toxic. It might even kill us.

If you are wondering when the murmurations start at Lackford Lakes, Suffolk Wildlife Trust, this is the sign you have been looking for! Albeit a rather dreadful photo, about 2,000 starlings flying overhead at dusk today. #Starlings #starlingmurmuration #Suffolk #Wildlife #SuffolkWildlifeTrust
A photo taken at dusk. A small murmuration of starlings, against the sky. There is a tree-line across the bottom of the photo, with the trees loosing their leaves as it's autumn. The sky is blue-grey, with slight patternation of clouds, darker at the bottom of the image.

When the train is late on a freezing cold day, of course I’m going to give the train driver a cheery wave, showing my gratitude for their eventual arrival. In other news, Bury St Edmunds station now has bird safe bins. Bless them, the hungry local gulls used to chuck litter all over the place.
