Can we please send Hegseth back in time, oh, about a millennium, so he can cosplay the Crusades and we can get a break from the disgusting drivel of the day?

Ossoff: "I think Pete Hegseth is frankly a deeply unwell person who seems to relish this kind of brutality all the while he's running a department that is falling into chaos. The guy cannot run the military competently and is spending his time with this kind of obscene medieval spectacle."

The fraternity brothers in the group chat who cheer violence? That behavior is being modeled by the president of this country. I cannot stress this enough — Trump is teaching young men how to be abusive every time he opens his mouth.

The faith of Jerusalem. So Americans need to all be Jewish? The philosophy of Athens. So American men should keep young boys as sex partners? The power of Rome. So America should fall to foreign invaders? The freedom of Philadelphia circa 1776. So the type of freedom we had during slavery?

I noticed that the New York Times, which I unsubscribed to when they solf-sold Trump, has changed its policy on "gift" articles. You used to be able to read them. Now the NYT tells you: "Someone gifted this article to you. You must allow us to harvest your email address to read it." Ur, no. Go away.

Please don't overreact to the SCOTUS SAVE database decision today Page 6 of the decision makes clear that we are in the 90 day statutory window when mass changes cannot be made to voter lists! Yeah it's a shit decision for the reasons the 3 dissenters say but we can deal with it. More to come...

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines. When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

Trump approved disaster aid requests from six red states last week. Two days later, he rejected aid requests from four blue states. Not only is he punishing states who didn’t vote for him, he’s playing politics with people’s lives. Despicable.

Trump is amoral and wilfully ignorant. He may say and do things that make him appear to be dumb, but I maintain that those things are calculated to disarm and make people underestimate him. To their detriment. I'll take it back if and when he's made to personally suffer consequences.

Put another way, gutting the Voting Rights Act was to gut Black representation in the government. Proposed solutions that don’t center that representation aren’t really getting at the problem at hand.

It’s tempting to do the “if Biden had done it” or “if Obama had done it” thing, but the exercise is pointless. We all know such things never would have had the smallest chance of happening. And anyone with a bit of sense wouldn’t need prompting to imagine the scenarios in any case. Just stop it.

As a Christian, I don't think federal agencies should be referring to "Christ, our Savior" in any context. I don't need my government to validate my faith. That's why it's called faith. More importantly, my government shouldn't be invalidating the religions of other Americans.

There's something deeply obscene and broken about the fact that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are bombing elementary schools in an illegal war of aggression, and there's still a sense among the opposition that it has to be explained in terms of gas prices in order to get American voters to care.
