we all love "Error: object of type 'closure' is not subsettable" but I must say I'm also quite partial to "Error: attempt to apply non-function"

not at #positconf this year but @snystrom.com and I are heatedly discussing all the things we love and hate about #rstats over cocktails so in some ways i am at #positconf

I think in this case there was confusion internally over whether they were supposed to be public. My request to view was denied at first but I pointed out that they are publicly linked and then they got made public.

I have emailed them to try to figure out how to get on the right email list

210

Kara Woo @karawoo.com · 12/09/2026

lmaooooo of course, no worries it should not be your responsibility to be the source of accurate information on these events!!! the website still says it is today and of course I did not get an email 😭

Kara Woo @karawoo.com · 12/09/2026

1. sign up for school board public notice emails to try to keep up with meetings about the 10-20 schools they plan to close 2. only learn about events from social media 3. show up to the scheduled “community connection” meeting 4. no one is there and the building is locked 🤷‍♀️

1112

Kara Woo @karawoo.com · 12/09/2026

just out of curiosity are you planning to attend this? because i am here right now and can find no evidence that it is happening

200

Kara Woo @karawoo.com · 10/09/2026

yeah that looks like a different list than whatever I'm subscribed to. silly me for thinking that joining the "public meeting notice" email list would get me information on "engagement events" 🙄

120

Kara Woo @karawoo.com · 10/09/2026

What time is the meeting on Saturday? I'm on the public meeting email list but haven't received anything about it, and I can't find anything on the website either.

Correction: the City Council moved toward approving a term sheet that commits nearly $400M in city funds, $120M of which is unfunded and $275M has no apparent justification. Had my amendment passed we could have at least found the $120M. Ah well, nevertheless.
