@timbray yeah there's a lot I disagree with in @gruber's post, but his "the CEOs are posting there" take is one of the most laughable. To me, that was one of the signs of the downfall of Ye Olde Twitter, when most people's feeds were full of celebrities and PR instead of peers.

Roughly 90% of the time that I read a post on here, and it starts to make me irrationally angry, it is a screenshot from a corporate social media site, I filter it, and move on. One Mastodon client feature I would really love to see is an auto filter for those.

You can still get decent 16 GB mini computers, and they are great for lots of things! Some of them haven't even gone up that much in price. But the higher RAM machines have ~doubled. #RAMpocalypse
