I had a weird dream that I somehow went back in time (?) and saw my old cat, Sooty, but I knew it was temporary so I was too sad to go over and pat him because then I’d only have to say goodbye to him. 🥺 I’m glad I don’t remember my dreams if they’re like that!

Dolly Parton was an icon. She was a brilliant songwriter and performer. She was an incredible activist and advocate, helping to donate over 200 million free books to children. She was one of my personal heroes. This is a terrible loss. She will be greatly missed.

Yesterday I had a bottle of bourbon and a stick of butter. I browned the butter and then mixed the bourbon in. I let it infuse and then and separated out the butter. Now I have browned-butter fat-washed bourbon and bourbon infused browned-butter. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
