There's an optional "dialogue" with Death Of Rats that can go for around 5 minutes if you exhast all the options. If you're familiar with Discworld you can imagine how that goes!

Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol. This windows based dungeon crawler was pretty bare bones but it had great "world" features. If you died you could create another character to get your body. You could password protect your characters so it was great if multiple people used the same PC.

It also shows what drives some to these addictions in the first place. When the entire world and odds of happiness are against you, even a fleeting moment of joy is something. It's a goal, and it keeps you going. It's hidden a bit under the dark humour but there are a lot of classisim/racism themes.

As disgusting as it is I find it absolutely fascinating. It takes the most horrible parts of addiction and self destruction and wraps them in the slice of life format of Azumanga Diaoh. It uses humour and hope to keep you going through all the shit and that's terrifyingly relatable. I love it.
