Don’t be fooled by this summer of AI hype

The image is of a four panel comic.
In the first panel we see Sarah, the protagonist, next to a stick figure labeled “AI”. The stick figure says, “my outputs look just like yours now.”
The second panel zooms in on Sarah’s face. Above her we see text reading “I think”.
The third panel zooms in closer on Sarah’s face. Text above her reads “you missed”.
The fourth panel shows Sarah drawing happily in a sunlit room. The text above her reads “the point”.

I'm going to say it loud for the people in the back. Voice actors are artists and replacing them with Gen AI is unethical and immoral. This is different than a screen reader/accessibility tool which isn't giving a "performance." This is a machine trying to imitate human emotion and artistry.

Companies using AI to “model” their clothes on people… the whole point of having models wear the clothes is to show what the clothes ACTUALLY look like on PEOPLE

If you’re a student and you want to reach out to a group/org/agency & you’re looking for ppl with a specific specialization, emailing an institutional repository, who is def not that specialization to ask for an interview for your startup team is not a good look.
