Again, this isn’t a declaration about voting in any way. It’s a declaration that i am in opposition to anyone who chooses anti-solidarity, a declaration that anyone who does so has lost my trust to such a degree that they don’t get to know what I will do.

You want to know if throwing trans people under the bus will lose my vote? I bet you do. But I only tell my plans to those I trust. It will lose *some* people’s votes, and you knew that. That’s the chance you decided to take. Don’t play dice with people’s lives if you want to know my plans.

I didnt say anything about how I voted or intend to vote, and I feel the exact same same way about anyone who wants to run anti-black candidates to “win.”

This post isn’t making a point about voting, but people with pundit-brain can’t approach any idea w/o equating it to voting, and so they respond by demanding assurances about voting—to which I say those who offer no assurances will receive no assurances. Feel a fraction of the anxiety you cause.

Frankly centrists who support anti-trans politicians to “win” should feel nervous that they’ve made a bad call—because they have—and I have no interest in making them feel anything else. Suffer, cowards.

I may pragmatically vote for a centrist’s “better monster,” but centrists should not expect me to provide the comfort of the reassurance they demand—and even if I do make that choice, my goal is to replace them w/non-monsters at the earliest possible occasion. We’re not on the same side.

If you would try to win by abandoning trans people (or any targeted group) you can save this “we need to win” talk; there is no “we.” I am about solidarity, and you have chosen anti-solidarity. You are not any “we” I recognize. You are the enemy I’m trying to defeat. Beating you is how my “we” wins.

Well this was prescient. I'm again seeing trans people harassed for criticizing anti-trans Dems with "you wouldn't vote for a 'lesser evil' to stop Hitler becoming president!!!" In 1932 a lot of people did vote for a "lesser evil" to stop exactly that. He promptly put Hitler in power.

While it's true that trans eradication runs on far right conservatism, it takes a liberal to invent the idea that you can tell someone you don't believe they're a man/woman in a way that is "appropriate and respectful."
You will need to be aware that some of your colleagues may not believe in transgender or gender identities and, if this is a philosophical belief, it is protected under the EA. All views should be expressed in an appropriate and respectful way.

Anyway, good case study here. You can be as evil as you want, you can kill as many people as is possible, you can shove churro ladies into vans then off to black sites in countries they've never even heard of, but if you can't do the performance of fascism — that's when you're in real trouble.

Hard not to notice that Democrats who are doing the best are the ones who are leaving this whole civility-and-norms, we-go-high, we-need-a-strong-Republican-Party bullshit behind and are simply giving Republicans exactly what they all ought to get at all times, which is undisguised contempt.
