Thank you for this. Having sat by my parents sides during their last weeks, I wish MAID didn't carry such a stigma amongst the public and some medical professionals. Knowing that it was an option brought so much peace to my mom, even though she didn't need it in the end.

I'm 2.5 weeks into a similar bug. Still a little congested and coughing a bit, but feel mostly normal. This bug was a doozy -- the sickest I've been since COVID.

I finally stopped wearing a mask in busy stores a few weeks ago and now this bug hits. It's not COVID, but it's the sickest I've been since I had that 3+ years ago. Back to masking at Trader Joes and Costco for me!

Rewatched X-Men: First Class this weekend. I'd forgotten just how Jewish the movie was...and really enjoyed it. The layers of Magneto hit me a lot harder than when the movie was originally released.
