I found 2 of these just north of Salthouse by the beach, which I believe are Podalonia affinis Mud Wasp. @norfolknats.bsky.social Can you comfirm my id is correct please. A new one for me. They were doing a lot of holding their head against the ground.

I believe this is a Female Lindneromyia dorsal, a flat-footed fungus fly, seen today in our garden. About 3mm long and hyperactive, running erratic, jerky paths over the surface of leaves. Is this id correct? @dipteristsforum.bsky.social @dipterists.bsky.social

Wall seen on the coast path between Wells & Stiffkey yesterday. This will be a 2nd or maybe 3rd brood. After years of decline our records indicate (although hugely variable year on year) numbers in the county are showing an upward trend. #savebutterflies

Another foodplant first! This time, of Holly Blue using Kidney Vetch as a larval foodplant, with an egg followed through to final instar larva by Maggie Zebroski. This is, I believe, the first record of the use of Kidney Vetch, not just for the UK, but for the whole of Europe! Well done Maggie!
