The USDA is going to use Elon Musk’s Grok for a myriad of functions, including “scientific research”. I can’t see any potential drawbacks to using a bigot-coded AI that is fed and watered by scientific misinformation at the joint that oversees food safety. /s

I keep trying to make it clear that what RFK Jr. has done to public health and healthcare will take years before the full weight of the horror becomes visible. We are seeing the canaries in the coal mine with the measles outbreak and the FDA idiocy around vaccine approvals.

Why it matters: Lack of FDA approvals for COVID19 or any other vaccine severely hampers access to vaccines, even if already known to be safe and effective. In the case of the Pfizer Trial, the FDA may not approve COVID19 vaccines for healthy people aged 50-65, making it harder to get vaccinated.

4. Under RFK Jr., the FDA has created policies that make irrational and onerous demands for approving new or updated vaccines. Pfizer just halted a Phase III trial of COVID19 vaccines because it couldn’t enroll enough people, probably because no one wanted to roll the dice on getting the placebo.

2. RFK Jr. has banned the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) from meeting. This body is responsible for providing recommendations for preventative services like cancer screenings, which under the ACA requires insurance companies to pay for them.
