The waste in HE of person hours, energy, and hope that goes into unfunded grants across the board is madness. I do wonder if other sectors would countenance this level of sunk time.

Just seen UofE now avoiding compulsory redundancies, which is excellent news and testament to collective organising, but soc sciences and humanities will have been damaged by good people leaving and a summer of stress
