We at Disability Culture Lab deeply mourn the passing of Alice Wong @sfdirewolf.bsky.social: activist, storyteller, cultural architect, and one of the brightest lights of our disability community. Please read @thesicktimes.org tribute to Alice, and donate to her GoFundMe & cripsforesimsforgaza.org.

We aren’t less than and we won’t go down without a fight. Rodney has filed a habeas corpus complaint in federal court. He’s fighting his unlawful imprisonment. He needs the disability community to fight for him and demand his release. My full article on how the community can help Rodney:

I'm not asking people to stop talking about Kimmel or the coming repression tied to their latest martyr project—all of this is important. I am just saying, can we work in more discussion of our neighbors being hunted and protesters being gassed, beaten, and shot with pepper balls in Chicagoland?

Two children were killed and seventeen people were injured in a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School. A Cracker Barrel logo change received far more scrutiny and attention than any fight against the epidemic of gun violence in this country. Our priorities remain idiotic.

A little math about that prison camp in Florida. $450 million per year for 3,000 people is $150,000/person per year.
The cost for one person receiving SNAP for one year is $2256, yet they're telling us that's too expensive.

Better fact: Liberia was created by formerly freed Black Americans in the 1820s. Those Black Americans & their descendants became the ruling class in Liberia. Some President’s aides brief their principal on the history of the country with whose leader he’s meeting. He wouldn’t listen anyway.
