This is a hard issue to deal with but there is some low hanging fruit particularly around how publishers flag retractions and enforce standards around not citing retracted articles without notice.

Interesting interview with @gofundme.com CEO Tim Cadogan and @reckless.bsky.social. Cadogan says an advantage of private donations over the public safety net is that donations come "with love". This ignores consistent findings that this 'love' is distributed very, very inequitably.
"No system is perfect, and we can supplement that. It gives people a way to come together that is different from an institution supporting you. An institution can do a lot. The NHS can do a lot. Medicare in Australia can do a lot, but it’s not coming with love, right?"

What this shows is that Ms. Harp’s initial connection with the Trump campaign was based on a falsehood which – knowingly or unknowingly – the Trump campaign was happy to embrace for their own purposes. /12

This makes it very clear that she did not use RTT based on her many statements about her care. Rather, she enthusiastically misdescribed a doctor helping her with off label or non-chemotherapy treatments as RTT. /11

Based on her own statements, there are three clear reasons that she could not have received care via the RTT pathway: 1. She states twice that she received an FDA approved treatment. However, drugs accessed via RTT must “not have been approved or licensed by the FDA for any use”. /8
