It's hilarious that Huang things not knowing his address, zip-code and phone number are a mark of how he is cognitively off-loading to technology and Klein doesn't seem to press him that what he's actually obviously doing is using the fact that he's rich to off-load onto other humans.

I see. It sounds like tweaking the underlying data distribution, which you mentioned elsewhere. But isn't there a jump between optimising the distribution towards better outcomes and assuming better language skills for problem solving? In my mind they don't seem the same thing.

Thank you. I understand some practical advantages of RLVR, like it's programmatic and not subject to biases and preferences. Unclear why this should enable higher language skills for problem solving, though it reportedly leads to performance gains (also in domains other than the training ones?).

What is (are) the crucial observation, or facts about how they work, that makes obsolete the view that everything comes from the data, in favour of this replicating of how language works?

How to think about ADHD
Channel 4’s documentary on ADHD earlier this week predictably caused a stir, with cries of outrage starting even before it was aired. But we need to have a debate about ADHD, if for no other reason than it is becoming a significant burden on the health service. Referrals for ADHD assessments among adults are overwhelming mental health services. Most have had to put a block on referrals, because if they didn’t they would have practically no time to do anything else.

Histograms. Everyone knows them, don't make up data, use space better, more intuitive and clear. Do KDE iff you need it, but don't mirror it just for looks. And precisely because you can't avoid assholes you shouldn't bring vulvas to people's minds at work. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0QM...

Maybe that was the criticism, i.e. that they do look like a vulva (and for no reason at all, for they are mirrored offering no extra information). Either way, why using a visualization that offers nothing over the classical alternatives, confuses people, and brings talk of vulvas to your work.
