General reminder to please post things that might cheer people up or at least raise a wry smile, or even hopes. Not just bleakness. And if your timeline is full of the latter, actively seek out the former. There's a lot of great stuff happening. People are still mostly good. As are cats and dogs.

It's not enough to let people know that vaccines don't cause autism. We also have to affirm that autism is not something to fear, that autistic lives are worth living and supporting, and that autistic people deserve to exist and be loved. Original exchange on Twitter: x.com/Sara_R_Rocha...
Twitter exchange on a black background, from a DrNeilStone, reading, "We do need to find out what causes autism. Because it isn't vaccines."

Response from Sara_R_Rocha, reading, "And then what? Will it fix the chronic institutionalization of autistic people? The violence we suffer as a community. Will it give us independent living and support? Or will only serve to try to find new ways to prevent us from existing? I bet on the last one."

Psychology has a place, but how it feels to be Autistic and what motivates us to do things in a particular way don’t always fit the clinical narratives. That’s why it’s so important for us to be active participants in any kind of assessment and to tell our own stories in our own way.

Sensory processing sensitivities are more the norm than the exception among those with neurodivergence, severe mental illness, and complex trauma, so it’s unconscionable that staff aren’t trained to understand and help.
The image is an infographic titled “Signs of Sensory Overload” by Neurodivergent Insights. It has a circular layout with icons and text illustrating various symptoms of sensory overload, including:
	1.	Feeling a wave of fatigue come over you - illustrated by a person lying down.
	2.	Feeling wound up & stimming - depicted by a person holding their hands to their head with movement lines.
	3.	A sense of panic or desire to escape - represented by a figure appearing distressed and ready to flee.
	4.	Urge to block incoming sensory signals (cover eyes or ears) - shown by a person with hands over their ears.
	5.	Extreme irritability - illustrated by a person with clenched fists and tension lines.
	6.	Restlessness & discomfort - represented by a standing person with movement lines around their body.

The design uses a light blue background with dark blue text and icons, creating a calm, visually accessible look.
