Yesterday I got on the leg press machine at the gym and after doing a 3x8 on 310, after having just done a hundred pound jump, I looked at the max weight available on it - 410 - and decided I wanted to give it a try. absolutely SLAUGHTERED IT. my strength continues to grow!!

You get used to it, really. Once you understand that you have no control over the path of a tornado and all you can do is hunker down and wait in the best place for it (which many is the center of their home away from windows), and you get through about... shit, 14 now? you get used to it.

Its wild to me how many people feel as if you're obligated to accommodate them specifically. I run a weekly trans coffee meetup in my home city, and while most people are chill, I can't tell you how often someone asked to change the venue or day or time and its like... make one yourself!! Its easy!!

Every time I see people demonising trans people as "mutants" I think of this.

Venom is an example of a villain who evolved into a hero because he was popular with readers and writers decided to rehabilitate him. By contrast, Magneto evolved into a hero because every decade since Reagan it's harder and harder to pretend he's wrong
