I'd say so, and it's a pretty niche crowd, though some come with their own problems!

I left years before they switched the one manager per shop format. I personally find it mad but every manager I’ve spoken to seems to find it actually alright. Hugely profitable for the company.

The company’s policy has always been to rent retail space just off the main high street where. They also switched to a mainly one-employee shop about fifteen years ago for most towns. Big cities and flagships employ more staff. Source: ex-employee

I’m either watching recipes or this one channel where a guy polishes people’s shoes. Sound on.

People who become more conservative as they get older should be ashamed. If life experience hasn't made you more open to change, aware of diversity and supportive of those in need, you have failed at life.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

It’s so boring. Every other day the trades push out another Russo Bros. Puff piece that sounds like a Buzzfeed headline: ‘You *won’t believe* the franchise altering twist we remixed into Avengers Endgame Again Encore Movie’ ‘It’s the best Marvel film ever made… or else’

“Interactive Stories goes a step further and lets you talk, in your own words, to a character in an audiobook. That might sound weird at first, but I can imagine asking complex characters why they did what they did, or what ideology drove a plot-twisting decision that otherwise isn’t clear.” No.

Probably the 12th, or 13th very very very early morning, I’m at a convention in Glasgow that weekend and usually stop by Edinburgh on the way out.

It’s one thing to acknowledge there will be a market for readers who are apparently happy to read Ai-generated books; it’s another to shit all over romance authors *and* garment factory workers. ‘Machine-made clothes’ are *still* made by humans — a poor analogy from a critically acclaimed author.

Mine took me to Moffat when I was 12 in the early nineties on my first ever visit to Scotland. I remember bursting into laughter when I noticed the bronze ram statue in town had two cigarette ends sticking out its nostrils. Bloody love Scotland.
