Yeah, and Burnout. Which is honestly the main reason I want it.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is really good for what it's worth. And it's not even that long, 6 half hour episodes.

You love to see it. For all the money it would cost them, and you get some jobsworth being awkward about it.

Got glasses a few months back from an online place, the frame broke when I was cleaning them the other day and there's a year's warranty on them so I emailed them. Their reply was: are you *sure* you didn't step on them?

The reveal is *slightly* different in the remake. I would say that Dead Space 2 is the template for all the quality of life improvements in the remake, and still looks incredible.

Did you manage to avoid discovering the twist at the end? Or had that already been spoiled for you?

Genuinely concerned about what's happening to the space-time continuum in this toilet.

A toilet door with a sign saying "Temporally Out Of Order"

Not to sound like a "better in my day" type of person but a very very minor thing I do miss are the date stamps in the front of a library book.

I skipped high school to buy tickets for The Phantom Menace. The following day my Dad asked ," how was school?" I replied, " It was fine " He then threw this newspaper at me and asked , " how the fuck would you know?" He was so pleased with himself that I didn't actually get in trouble.

Enjoying the new (post reviews) ads for Digger that are basically saying "you won't know if it's a trainwreck unless you see it for yourself."

I got halfway through it and just stopped for some reason. I didn't dislike it or anything but I never felt compelled to continue.

Do I need to finish Agatha for the full picture? I assume that's the second part of the trilogy.

I would say that if you can play Dead Space 2. Arguably even better. What's been your favourite Resident Evil you've played? Another series that passed me by when they originally came out but I've played all the remakes and 7, 8 and 9 since.

110

jonathan @jonocard.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Oh man, I LOVE Dead Space. Is it the remake you're playing? I've never played a Silent Hill game before. It's a series that always passed me by, this would be my first.

jonathan @jonocard.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Think I might get Silent Hill Townfall. All the clips I've seen have such authentic local looking vibes that it'll add to the scares.

Has there ever been a Doctor Who story about people substituting human capabilities with machine replacements that lack any genuine human feeling or emotion? If they did, remind me, was it good or bad?

Playing as a girl and her shadow, solving puzzles. A chill time.

000

jonathan @jonocard.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Yeah, I was still struggling with the combat especially against the bosses right up until the end. But I can't fault anything else really. As you say, an absolutely stunning game to look at.

000

jonathan @jonocard.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

It's a prequel that dovetails quite nicely into the already established stuff, buuuut you could also just play it as it's own entirely separate thing. There's less variety to the combat than in the other two games (no gadgets, just swords). I enjoyed the puzzles a lot too.

Nothing would bug me more in this type of game than failing to press one button when I'm immersed in a big cinematic moment and getting a Game Over.
