I've not seen it but yeah, everyone has a line. Amusingly (it's not amusing) but many would say similar things if they were championing linking up with the UK government.

I've always been working on the basis that if your owners are billionaires then they're probably gonna have capacity for significantly loosening their morals at any given point it suits them. And having owners deeply involved with any government was always likely to be morally problematic.

I have a theory about all this, and it's based on a vacuum in priorities within the communications and marketing people. Benson will only focus on comms driving commercial revenue, the media team have targets and priorities around social media engagement etc. There's a big gap in the middle.

Mario Kart is fun but there's only so long I'm willing and able to play variations of the same game, and 30-odd years is long past that limit.

Yeah, a lot of OUFC joined purely as they thought twitter was dead rather than because they wanted to bin twitter. Because all the little Jakes and Joshes stayed on twitter, that's where all the OUFC traffic remained and so everyone drifted back there.

I still occasionally wake up in a cold sweat remembering SF trying to pass out from the back under Manning. Not really his fault - he's not that kind of player, but that's another reason not to hand out such long contracts from the outset.

5 years ago, many media commentators were adamant that the PS5/XboxSX would be the final generation of consoles. That still seems unlikely to me. What's the latest thinking? Appreciate Microsoft might be more keen on it, but it feels like Sony needs a physical console to keep us in their ecosystem.

It doesn't help for Cherwell DC to be cast as a potential foe. If the application is rejected first time round, there's always a chance of an amended one going in at a later date. The vitriol that will be fired at them if they reject it would harm an amended application's chances.
