Graham Greene helped make the rest of the world see Indigenous people as real human beings. The first time I saw him on screen was in Dances With Wolves and the last time was in The Last of Us. What a tremendous legacy! RIP ✊🏽🙌🏽❤️

I’ve had an ongoing conversation with @paulandstorm.bsky.social (among others) about how hard it is to write a song that has to be a hit “in-universe.” That is, it has to be so good the characters/listeners react in the way the story needs them to. K-pop Demon Hunters does it 8 times.

R.I.P Nelvana Ltd, a genuinely tremendous force in the animation industry, for both Canada and even the US, ESPECIALLY on the television animation side of things. Shouting out 1996’s Stickin’ Around as an example of their work, had to have been a nightmare to make this style work this well.

I love the idea of a Wonder Woman cartoon that kind of functions like Brave and the Bold, using less popular/underutilized female superheroes. Ideally I'd want to find a way to even have her team up with Fantomah, Sheena Queen of the Jungle, or Nelvana of the Northern Lights.

so many of Nelvana’s programs informed my childhood, growing up in the 90’s. This is fucking devastating

Stickin’ Around, a classic 90s cartoon with a unique animation style (HOLEEEEEY MACKEREL)

Redwall, a cartoon adaptation of a children’s book series I was obsessed with as a kid. Those books kept me company on many family road trips, and this show was a banger that captured my heart.

Tales from the Cryptkeeper, a goofy kids’ horror show that introduced every episode by calling its audience boys and GHOULS

The Adventures of TinTin, another adaptation (this time of a comic) that was a regular watch on Saturday afternoons
