![Newfound leverage comes at an opportune time, because the Theorist Media Union’s other path to recognition goes through the National Labor Relations Board, an entity that’s not exactly in great shape to expeditiously uplift a nascent union right now—or do much of anything else, for that matter. Trump has spent much of his second term denying the NLRB the quorum it relies on to make major decisions, which led to a “historic” backlog of cases. Now, even with the quorum restored and another (Republican, of course) nominee on the way, the NLRB continues to move in slow motion.
