what do you MEAN the developers of Cookie's Bustle contacted every person who registered their copy by mail 25 years ago and invited them to a secret Cookie's Bustle party with live music and merch???

idk, it sucks. i can't bring myself to be mad at these people and i feel bad when i see them getting beaten down, but my opinions align with those that ARE beating them down and i can't at all blame anyone for being as upset as they are. this is a genuine moral dilemma for me.

it just makes me really sad. i dont like discouraging people from making fan, projects especially for obscure games, but i can't accept the reckless shortcut taking. so i end up leaving half hearted comments trying to discourage them from using AI but not them as a person.

ik i'm preaching to the choir but usage of AI in game fan translations, hacks and ports is really bumming me out. maybe i'm too forgiving but i do believe these people are acting in good faith, theres little glitz and glamor in this field to be gained, but i can't support them.

@rabidrodent.bsky.social hi hello, sorry to bother but as a fellow classics of game fan I wanted to posit the idea of moving the cookie's bustle clips up in the playlist so they play in numerical order like the original uploads did before they were taken down. that is all, thank you

i have determined, without exaggeration, that rhythm heaven groove is my favorite game of the DECADE thus far. there have been so many great games in the 2020s but the pure unbridled joy i feel playing groove is unmatched. its really special to me.

I really do not understand why people feel the need to find reasons to dislike people. If you want to dislike someone then you can just dislike them. I don't like Arlo, but I'm not gonna try and find something that makes him look bad and me look good. I just find him kind of annoying!

For those unaware, here is the article in question. It documents an investigation Phil Salvador conducted regarding Cookie's Bustle copyright claims. It was found that "Graceware" is gaming the system to issue illegitimate DMCA takedowns en masse. gamehistory.org/cookies-bust...

It really pains me to have to call them out on this, but this is really ridiculous. I provided them the Video Game History Foundation's article on the matter as well as the archive of this upload of the drawing and they still told me that my account must remain locked.

I've been permanently locked out of my @archive.org account I've had for 8 years and have made 160+ uploads to all because of the illegitimate takedowns I've been issued regarding Cookie's Bustle on behalf of Graceware. This drawing I uploaded is one of the three strikes. archive.is/202303020942...

I know Tomodachi Life has always been popular and has only gotten more so over the past 12 years, but I didn't think it was so popular that physical copies of Living the Dream would sell out completely and almost immediately. Insane. Glad I preordered.

Gotten several more reports since yesterday of takedowns, there is definitely a new wave going on all of which are issued from Web Capio. If you can get back in touch and see what's going on we'd greatly appreciate it.
