Thomas is chilling having scared the beegeezers out of us last week on what we thought might be a one-way trip to the V.E.T. Turns out he was probably just missing me 🥹 Now back on top form, shouting his disapproval when I’m home late and trying to teach the kittens manners!

Hopefully it won’t require emptying the entire cupboard contents to catch…
The entire contents of a large understands cupboard emptied into the corridor in a desperate attempt to catch the baby bunny that ran in there and hid at the very back when the dumb human forgot to close the cupboard door when they went to collect a bucket and a broom and brush* to catch said baby bunny when it was hiding behind the fridge-freezer. Much swearing about ‘bloody cats’ might have ensued during the process.

* this might have been a frequently employed technique

We often have the 2-person play off, plus a degree of misremembering (on all sides) so this sign is often handy* to avoid double dinners (*depending on whether you are pictured on the sign or not…)
One side of a double-sided sign with a painting of a cat saying “please feed me”. The cat is a tuxedo/black and white cat with green eyes and looks slightly imploringThe other side of a painted sign with the same tuxedo/black and white cat, looking unimpressed. Neither of these tiny darlings nearly flooded the house by turning on the tap in the boot room when the plug was pushed in because it had previously been removed and left of the floor… All their faces said was ‘oh my goodness, look what someone did, they tried to drown us!’
2 very sweet and definitely innocent black kittens, one really is a lot larger than the other but not as much as the picture suggests “small, far away”

1) the food here is great - suggest you come try it. 2) fence?? Surely that’s a (slight sad) *wall* fence /fĕns/ noun A structure serving as an enclosure, a barrier, or a boundary, usually made of posts or stakes joined together by boards, wire, or rails.
A dry stone wall incorporating a tree structure made with different sized and shaped stones. No mortar needed

Have to admire the ingenuity though. Our estates team put proper effort into this solution
Corrugated plastic sheeting to catch significant leaks from ceiling that is over 70 years past intended life expectancy, draining into indoor gutter and drainpipe into a bucket 👌Corrugated plastic sheeting attached to batten on dilapidated ceiling by cable ties to divert significant leakage away to edge of corridor. The corridor was built in haste and not designed to last more than a couple of years, yet here we are nearly 80 years later. At least the ingenious solution avoids the regular bed slalom around buckets.

It’s also probably why older women have been demonised to diminish their ability and propensity to speak truth to power. We don’t (often) burn strong women for being witches any more but the modern equivalent includes de-titling, pile-ons, doxxing and labelling people as ‘Karen’s’
