You keep doing good shit, Paul. Watching here in Iowa.

Removal of the comedy is essential to the growth of Evil Dead. Got hours of that delightful flavor with three movies and amazing 30 ep series. The cruel deeds in Burn, is warranted. And there is some humor in this, but it's a mean steak of deadites this time around. And I loved all of it

Why you should never ever ever trust AI results. This image is NOT Sen Sinclair. When we search engine a thing, the AI disinformation shows up. You can escape it by using your brain. You can also denounce auto integration of AI.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4 E7 has tremendous emotional payoff, but takes a long time to get there. In a season of "novelty" episodes it's hard to wait for it. Should have been E1 of this season. Would have built more trust in this season. Regardless, E8 better be a straight up non bizzaro ep

COYOTE VS. ACME is glorious. Funniest movie of the year, emotionally moving, and Will Forte is doing amazing work. Any Looney Tunes fan will adore it. As anti-corporate as it can get, subversive and so very punk rock. WB knew what they were doing when they dumped it. This cartoon kills fascists.

It's not a popular nor an opinion I wish I had, but biggest reason many audience members suggest a doesn't look good is because they are seeing it in a theater, which most are not not set up well. I see 10ish a year theatrically but more on my OLED + 4K disc / 5.1 Theaters generally suck.

movies made in the 2020s have some to hundreds of digital VFX shots. When press, directors, or actors say it's shot for real & practical, they are lying and taking away the credit to VFX artists making the movie amazing. CC: Joseph Kosinski, a piece of shit liar. Tom Cruise can also go to hell.

I started getting followed by some "film festivals" and "writing festivals" and thought "oh, these are cool!" Then I looked a little closer. They're all part of a network that preys on writers, charging us for reviews, and feeding our stuff into slop generators. So I made a list.👋🏻🖕🏻😠

I've seen the first 3 and part of 4. It's, rightly so, a shift from the space race in the foreground to the paranoia and espionage of Soviets. It's nice, but a tad complicated. Like who is who and for what? However, that's often the near mid season slump. I'll reactivate and watch more soon.

When a franchise can expand, evolve, and be new while maintains its core nemesis: which of course is the Necronomicon. Ash was amazing. And we got 30 episodes of Ash vs Evil Dead with 3 films. That's a hella lot. So glad Evil Dead continues to explore new characters and tones. It's all so great

7.1 audio. However it is mostly a center stage sound. The TNG restoration is a rare one. And a wonderful view on the Blu-rays

I'm glad 2020ish was when both miniseries got a new scan and Blu-ray release. I had em on DVD and this was a big upgrade. I also have the series, but just can't. Oddly I can watch once a year Jason of Star Command, only after another rewatch of Space Academy.

In recent years the shorter show title sequences are winning for me. Mando, for example. Andor sequence should suck but it's never the same in any way. And is the exception of additive not placeholder. But Daredevil, For All Mankind, Strange New Worlds, Foundation.... can't hit skip fast enough.

Always providing some clarity about movie things. In this case, clarifying that IMAX doesn't really mean anything. It's a brand name that doesn't translate to being better because you have no idea what you are going to get till you are there. Which is why stopped going to IMAX anything.

All due respect to MCU stories but I'm not presently investing in them. I'm wondering if that coveted opening weekend will reflect others similar to me. But with both of these films in theaters during the year end holiday weeks, it's possible for those who love both to have fun theatrical viewings.
