Amendment 87 is the most significant issue on the Colorado ballot this year, and I strongly support it. Good policy, good revenues, good results. coloradosun.com/2026/09/01/colorado…

Yay, getting PPF film fixed. Just dropped off car. Sadly edges are peeling up in several spots and a likely hasty install job trapped small pebbles under the film.

siding has a weird crack under the side door. so, i applied some caulk and went to find the paint. I found a small can in the second place I looked. I consider that a win. But, opening it, it had the consistency of stale marshmallows and stiring it did not improve things. Next I checked the date […]

I’m old. I used to race bikes on tubular tires. Most of these used latex tubes which make a wonderful sound as they roll. So despite tubeless being a thing I use latex tubes in regular clincher tires. I’m not sure why I got a flat yesterday, but I was able to patch last night.

Howard Dean used to say voting only earns you a “D” in civil society. Running for office, “B”, and winning an election, “A”. Well I won my election for a union steward. Do I get an A even though there were exactly enough spots as there were candidates?

Tweet by @juanbuis: i can't believe someone solved recipe design decades ago and everyone just decided to ignore it

Image shows a tree diagram where each node is a step and its children are the steps producing the stages required for this step, up to the leaves which are the ingredients. It is formatted as a table where the leaves are in the leftmost column and nodes span the rows that contain their children. The top two rows seem to have a special function, the span all columns and contain preparatory steps.
