I've cycled past the Clinton Street Pub so many times, yet this is the first time I've stopped to go inside…and come back out to the street plaza seating with a pint. Ah. It's nice. Especially on a sunny fall day like today. ☺️ #Portland #PDX #AutumnVibes
A bicycle is parked on the sidewalk in front of an old wooden front to the pub. The windows are almost completely covered with stickers and flyers. It's a vibe.

Fantastic new café/workspace/hangout spot dropped in the Richmond District (SE Division St.) called Modhaus. It's co-located with a bunch of awesome food carts including Jojo (which makes the best fried chicken in #Portland. There, I said it). And because I can […] [Original post on pdx.social]
A groovy midcentury modern decor with tropical looking plants and sunlight streaming through windows onto medium-blond tables and wall paneling. A mobile iPad Pro work setup and a cup of mocha is sprawled out on a large desk-like table.

It's a beautiful, cool day to chillax in the Sellwood street plaza. #Portland #Oregon #PDX #CarFree #SummersEnd
Sitting on a bench, looking at a pedestrianized roadway filled with various chairs, tables, umbrellas, and a wooden gazebo. The sky is blue and partially cloudy. The sun is out but the temperature is very wild with a hint of a chill breeze.

Additionally, I'm assembling an invite list for the upcoming kick-off of a local community group I'm calling The Slop-Free Shindig. 🙌 It’s an on-going series of fun, lively gatherings to build solidarity as artisans & business owners who desire to resist the megacorp onslaught of Generative AI […]

Hello #Portland! 👋 I'm probably preaching to the Masto choir here, but my little web studio is rolling out a whole new set of #LocalFirst service offerings. For the creative but less zeroed-in-on-tech people you know, I'm helping nudge folks towards using […] [Original post on indieweb.social]

@portlandcafe there was a whole special show of #antique #bicycles at the #Portland Art Museum some time ago. I really love the design of the bottom right frame and I wonder if such a bicycle could be made with a springy frame today.

Marveling at this incredible custom bike in the "Streamline Moderne" style at Bike Happy Hour! 😲
Bicycle with a very long wheelbase, wheels with many spokes, and lots of swoopy chrome everywhere.

This is WILD. I used to live right near that big oval park in the Pearl District and was always looking at the Centennial Mills building. Now I love me a good ol' industrial warehouse because of the vintage vibes, but this one was clearly in need of demolition for a *long* time. Fire sucks, but […]

Today’s a fabulous day for outside street café action in downtown #Portland 😍 #PDX #coffee #SummerVibes
Sitting at a table outside with coffee with a bicycle nearby on the sidewalk. The foreground is shaded by architecture and trees, and in the near distance, 20th-century buildings of various eras gleam in the sunlight.

Saw this hat at the always delightful Memory Den Vintage Mall. Anybody know something about the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival? This design is so-o-o 90s! 😂

Love Thy Neighbor None are free till… (a makeshift memorial just outside the ICE facility near downtown #Portland #Oregon)
A circle of flowers and candles and photos of the dead have been set up on sidewalk pavement near a bike path and rail line. An activist is writing out a new message in chalk.

I finally figured out how to get from SE #Portland to the Columbia River and Broughton Beach via bike paths! 🤯 #selfie

It's beginning to look a lot like summer. 😍 #Portland #PDX #River
A large tree with a wide trunk stands in the midst of a grassy knoll, with the Willamette River directly behind. Fluff from nearby cottonwood lines the ground. Golden hour is nearly here, then sunset.

A photo I took of Tanner Springs Park in #Portland #Oregon, rendered in a painterly style via Waterlogue 2 by @Tinrocket (this latest version is very slick!) #NoAI #SilentSunday
A watercolor evoking filter on an image of a plank walkway built in a geometric pattern, crossing over a water feature with a grassy garden knoll off to the right. In the background, multistory residential apartments and shops can be seen.
