Nothing was going to stop the Bushies after 9/11 from overthrowing Saddam. The US had Saddam's son-in-law who ran the WMD program telling them it was all BS after 1992. We had UN inspectors in Iraq for years until 1997. Ashes, ashes.

We can end the confusion over "football" by calling the American collision sport "CTE Ball." "Dementia Ball" is also an acceptable alternative.

This will reduce potential sortie capacity something like 40% and put unexpected cycling strain on reactors which were not designed for it. Basically indistinguishable from literal sabotage, if you care about such things as readiness or reliability or lethality or whatever

Finally got around to seeing The Odyssey. Two chief thoughts, and many follow-ups. Firstly I wish Tom Stoppard or Carrie Fisher was alive because Nolan is a wonderful director who cannot write dialogue to save his life and badly needs a first-rate script doctor.

Great work by NPR, true investigative journalism. They did the work. It's not NPR's fault that this expose is also crazymaking by reminding us that Biden+Merrick Garland wasted four years, and that countless others covered this up for decades.
