Australian National Botanic Gardens conservationists cloning rare ice-age gum
abc.net.au
There are only six of these trees left in the wild. Conservationists are cloning them
The trees are estimated to be between 3,000 to 6,000 years old but they have no future without intervention.

This is almost certainly true, and the UK fails women refugees in multiple ways, including by refusing safe routes to come here, wrongly rejecting asylum claims, barring family reunion & not recognising trafficking victims promptly or at all. If only Mahmood had the power to do something about this
theguardian.com
Nearly all women arriving on small boats have been raped, says Shabana Mahmood
Home secretary warns people traffickers will exploit asylum seekers because they decide who comes to the UK

You know what Kemi, Alex et al? I'm quite happy to pay tax and for it to be spent on welfare. It's called sharing, helping and caring. I've just checked in the mirror and there is no arrow in my eye. #BirminghamTapestry #CPC26
The final panel of the Tories' so called 'Birmingham Tapestry' showing people in faux medieval clothes with arrows in their eyes. They are labelled 'British Taxpayers'. The margin shows some rats, some people lying down (not sure what they are supposed to be), more taxpayers being short, what I think might be refugees in small boats and some prisoners who have been released early or who have escaped. It is a bit of a mess and the worst pastiche of the Tapestry every created. It's neither good satire, nor funny.

When did gifting become the word instead if giving; also gifted for gave. I know all four words are acceptable but I prefer giving and gave and I think they are being killed off. Also there is no gifting season. Giving away my age, I suspect.

Adam Wagner KC, barrister who led the case which concluded Corbyn’s Labour broke equalities law, said there is "a strong risk that the motion as passed contravenes the Equality Act 2010... as it will discriminate against and harass people who hold Zionist beliefs and Jewish people more generally."
Adam Wagner KC, the barrister who led a case which concluded that Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour broke equalities laws over antisemitism, said that such a case would have a good chance of success.

“I think there is a strong risk that the motion as passed contravenes the Equality Act 2010, which applies to political parties, as it will discriminate against and harass people who hold Zionist beliefs and Jewish people more generally.,” he said.

“Zionism, defined in the broad sense of supporting the establishment, development, and protection of a Jewish nation state in its ancestral homeland, the land of Israel, is likely to be a protected belief under the Equality Act 2010.”

He said there was a strong risk that the policy, especially if it resulted in disciplinary action, “will create an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment for both Zionists and Jewish people, therefore harassing them”.

Wenn Sie Prime haben, steht Ihnen ebenfalls unbegrenzter Speicherplatz für Fotos zur Verfügung.

Nero piped while Rome burned is a joyous image (against an obviously tragic background). As a non-Scot the temptation to mock the bagpipes is overwhelming, I’m afraid. Still not as bad as the fiddle and the recorder. (I am a music lover.) 😀

But above all else, stop believing you can resolve the problems within the CJS by tinkering. You need more investment, more courts open, more judges and mags sitting, prosecutors available, more defence lawyers happy to do the work, greater access to clients, better transport of prisoners
