British Conservatives: "Russia has disgracefully interfered in politics in France, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and invaded Ukraine. They even meddled in the US elections." Also British Conservatives: "What? Russia! Interfere in Brexit? Ridiculous! Just a tired old conspiracy theory."

The current laws simply aren’t doing enough to deter abusers from using catapults to attack wildlife. We need a dedicated, standalone criminal offence specifically for catapult attacks against wildlife. Please sign! petition.parliament.uk/petitions/77...

Catapult attacks on animals are surging, yet these horrific acts aren't tracked as a specific, standalone crime. We need a dedicated law to ensure abusers face real consequences.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social a small complaint in the grand scheme but can something be done about cost of printer ink? Ridiculous that can buy new printer cheaper than some inks, leading to printers getting dumped and new one bought instead of buying ink. Can pressure be put on companies?

The BBC is already giving Nigel Farage coverage for a speech he hasn’t even delivered. Report on what he says tomorrow, by all means. But previewing it now gives him free publicity and lets him set the agenda before anyone can scrutinise his words.

With near-daily reports of birds being targeted and killed with airguns and catapults, the cruelty facing our wildlife is reaching a crisis point. Every animal deserves to live free from violence.

Rescuers at Swan Support retrieved and X-rayed the swan. They found three airgun pellets lodged in her body. The swan has undergone surgery and Swan Support is hopeful that she will recover.

It wasn’t so long ago the argument was you couldn’t tax the rich because they use the money to start new businesses, driving growth- But the idea multi billionaires needed more capital to start new businesses is so patently absurd they dropped the mask & now just shout “BILLIONAIRES DESERVE IT!”

Again, you (& I) live in a country where there are concentration camps & people are being disappeared. We can argue about what exactly to call this particular form of partially autocratic political regime, but it’s not a full democracy.

This is the stark reality of catapult crime. Kids are sharing their kills on TikTok and other social media apps, ticking off species on their Kill Lists. Enough is enough. We are calling for catapult crime on wildlife to become a standalone criminal offence.

A few minutes in Kyiv. Drones and a power outage not on the schedule. Someone is stuck in the elevator. My upstairs neighbour is going to look after her mum (97) in Sumy, closer to the frontline. A woman on the street asks where the nearest shelter is. I see her fear and take her to a safe place.

How were these people raised? I wonder if he speaks to his mother/sister etc like that. I despair for the human race. I recently visited the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, of course a Memorial for the Jews in WW2 but the anonymity of the stones, made me think of it as universal for all the oppressed.

Feminism went to far! What a fucking idiot. Didn't go far enough. And I'm saying this as a straight old white bloke, we, as the human race, have let, predominantly, old white blokes rule the world for too long and now it's fucked. Time for a change.

Just tax the compute. Datacentre? Cool. Fund your own power generation and water reservoirs, and then pay tax for every computational act your datacentre does. And we'll use the tax income to offset societal and job damage. Overnight, AI becomes something AI giants are desperate to restrict.

A woman was drugged, raped, and sexually trafficked to members of a fraternity. Two of the men involved were expelled. Five were given the opportunity to mitigate suspension by *writing an essay.* The dozens of other men who knew this was happening and said nothing? You already know the answer.

It's actually number 3. And before anyone starts calling the police, the hostage thing was an exercise I was taking part in where I had to play a disaffected person who took someone hostage to help enforce my (the disaffected person's) demands. Good fun tho, swearing at supposedly important people.
