When you write chapters from different pov, do you write all one pov, then 2nd, then 3rd, to keep the voices clear. Or do you alternate between all and drive the story in a linear way? Curious. I write from one pov in 1st per or close 3rd with my character active in every scene. #ukkidlit #kidlituk

Having a bad leg is costing me a fortune. I wasn’t getting far enough, fast enough on the NHS, so I’ve paid to see orthopaedic surgeon, MRI and specialist leg brace. Now I’m having to buy trousers that accommodate the leg brace. At least wide leg is in, but they aren’t exactly flattering. Sigh.

I’m a proactive person. So when I write for Fiction Express, with crazy deadlines every week for a month, I pride myself with being way ahead of the deadline. Until today. The kids vote on what happens next and the vote is so close, the winning option keeps changing. 20 mins to go then ✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️

I don’t normally work at weekends, but I’m writing for Fiction Express and a close vote on what happens next. So I have to write three different first half versions of this week’s chapter, all leading to the same second half. It involves a bike chase, a gangmaster and a lot of squashed strawberries.

One of the disadvantages of living by the sea, is that bombs sometimes get washed up. Presumably of the unexploded WWII variety. I haven’t heard a bang yet, but apparently bomb disposal are on their way. That’s the second one in the last month. Last year it was a raft of drugs!
