I had surgery yesterday in relation to the melanoma. Mostly, it was routine stuff: tumor site examination and sentinel node biopsy. It seems they got the whole growth with the 1st biopsy, and the most they have said is "no surprises" in regards to the site exam (which is good). 1/

Fun fact: American overwhelmingly abandoned organ meat as a regular meal staple when they... *checks notes* ...achieved financial prosperity in the post-war era. The last time organ meat was popular was because Republicans fucked the econ...oh.

It's been tricky rebalancing life. Mental health, divorce, "shiny object sybdrome," and managing ADHD after finally getting a diagnosis instead of some copout, "we don't want to diagnose you so we can appease your insurance company" bullshit...

Absolutely. I was 10 in 1990, and by that point I'd already had plenty of exposure to nuclear and sci-fi horror from the '50s via Super Scary Saturday with Al Lewis, a lot of Hammer movies from numerous decades, plus tons of 1960's horror in general through TBS and TNT...

I've fallen way behind on daily horror movies, mostly because I've had a lot going on in my life between dealing with a mold situation in my apartment, being exhausted from work, and trying to get out and be more social to combat my mental health stuff.

Apparently Roku Channel has had the entire series of Dream On availabile to stream for a year. So, I've been going back through it because I never saw how it ended way back.

#Horror365Challenge 90/365 The Cellar (1989) Hard to believe this movie scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Just about anyone who can move can easily outrun the antagonist.

#Horror365Challenge 85/365 Troll (1986) It's funny that this movie has a character named Harry Potter who discovers magic and fairies are real, yet this movie is overshadowed by its name-only sequel because Troll 2 is an astoundingly bad film.

#Horror365Challenge 78/365 The Bay (2012) I once said they should do a parody of this movie called The Michael Bay: a found-footage film about a quiet little town plagued by random explosions and blatant product placement.

#Horror365Challenge 74/365 Grizzly (1976) The plot us identical to Jaws, except it's got that waterfall scene that lives rent-free in my head.

#Horror365Challenge 70/365 Smile 2 (2024) I feel like a lot of people were so fixated on saying its an allegory for addiction that they missed the commentary on the predatory nature of show business and parents living vicariously through their children.
Smile 2's protagonist, Skye Riley, standing in front of a mirror while its demonic antagonist, which has taken the form of a character from earlier in the film, reaches over either of her shoulders to pull her face into a forced smile.

#Horror365Challenge 69/365 The Outing (1987) First off, shotgunning my viewings again. Second off, nice. Third off, this movie did the whole "genies are bad, actually" trope before Wishmaster or The Djinn, but Graham Masterton beat it to the punch by a decade.
The protagonist from The Outing about yo touch the old, decorated lamp holding its main antagonist, a muderous djinn.

You'll have to pry the 2D platformers from my cold, dead hands. I've played plenty of meh ones in my 40ish years of playing games, but 6souls is good stuff.
Screenshot from the 2D platformer 6souls, showing its protagonist Jack jumping over a bed of spikes. A dense forest, mountains, and a partly cloudy blue sky can be seen in the background.
