Michael Palin tells the story of the artwork that has caused such a stir – and nightmares! Plus, a juicy drama based on Graham Norton’s novel. Here’s what to watch this evening

Enjoying this nice BBC TV doc about the Bayeux Tapestry which explains the events of 1066 but also shows the extraordinary process required to safely transport it to London (insurers valued it at £800m!) www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

BBC's Arabic radio service in Lebanon closed after 85 years as part of a £28.5m savings drive. 'Just months later, in October 2023, the Russian state-owned Sputnik news agency took over the frequency. Its news bulletin opened with “This is Moscow”, replacing the previous “This is London” intro.' 🙄

At least if we sit through the first two Thursday Murder Club films we’ll be treated to a third, more interesting film by Alfonso Cuarón.

Shout out to Gary Imlach. The best sports presenter on TV. He’s presented the Tour de France for decades on Channel 4 and now ITV4. Today will probably be his last day as ITV4 have lost the rights. Summers will not be the same 😢 Chapeau Gary! Thanks for everything #tdf #tourdefrance #itv4

The Bob Vylan story matters more than the typical BBC bashing article because the direction of travel (especially in news) is towards more, niche live streams rather than encouraging viewers to watch a single channel. This has highlighted that every stream requires the same compliance as BBC One!

Not enough people talking about what an amazing addition to the #glastonbury coverage the remote towercam in front of the Pyramid Stage is. Getting the shot blocked for years by a sea of flags!

The response we’ve received for #InsideOurMinds has been completely overwhelming – exposing neurotypical (and neurodivergent) viewers to the unfiltered , honest experience of ADHD and dyslexia was our aim , and the incredible stories of Henry , Jo , Lee and Suiki have done just that .

Inside Our ADHD Minds review – Chris Packham’s revelatory show couldn’t be more crucial
Packham refutes harmful anti-woke ideas about the overdiagnosis of neurodiversity by meeting people like Henry, who finds day-to-day life a severe struggle, and Jo, who has spent years constantly being told she’s ‘too much’

Danny Robins meets Liam, who spent his youth terrified by a ghostly child on the family farm. But were the events truly supernatural, or are there more rational explanations?

As a producer I always find it sad when shows are pulled, a huge number of people will have put a huge amount of blood, sweat and tears into this. Several may have been stepping up or earning important credits. Not saying I disagree with the decision, it’s just sad.

You remember when loads of bands started getting famous on MySpace and everyone was like omg, social media has democratised music, now if artists don’t have the social media budget of a major label, they don’t stand a chance. This but podcasts.
