📮I’ve joined 100+ Labour colleagues in writing to Ofcom about Royal Mail’s continued failings in Hexham. Residents rightly expect a reliable postal service, but concerns are too often ignored. After years of fines, it’s clear stronger action is needed to put customers first.

Football belongs to everyone. ⚽️ Great to meet with Northumberland FA and local clubs to discuss the challenges facing grassroots football and how we can support the game's future. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences.

The growing influence of money in politics is undermining trust in our democracy. We need stronger safeguards against wealthy interests and the power of global social media platforms. Democracy must work for everyone, not just those with the deepest pockets.

Last week, I spoke on the crimes being committed in Lebanon and how they mirror those seen in Gaza and the West Bank. It is time that we place sanctions on those in the Israeli Government who are responsible.

Funding illegal Israeli settlements is not charitable activity. It is extremist activity. Working with Israeli human researchers, I found at least 32 UK charities who have sent £28 million to settlements in recent years. There’s a likely taxpayer subsidy of at least £5 million through Gift Aid.
