A question for #photography folks - Do you include the camera/lens/film (if applicable) when posting images here and why? I'm inconsistent when I post, I think because I feel when I do that I'm directing my posts only to other photographers and leaving out folks who just enjoy pictures.

More trichromatic stuff. Simple still life of lemons and a colander. Color version is made combining three images that were shot in black and white using a red, green, and blue filter on each shot. The black and white is an image from the same camera without any filters. #photography #leica_typ246

The post-war "peace dividend" owed its existence to three factors: industrial capacity, political freedom and pent-up demand.

The Earth from space; it is covered in scaffolding that is crawling with little rude mechanicals ganked from 17th century engravings of people operating machines.

A couple images of the #Parthenon in #Nashville. One is a straight black and white and the other is 3 images combined to make a trichromatic color image. Both were taken using my Camera: #Leica246 #Photography #Trichromatic #BlackandWhitePhotography #ColorPhotography

Went out this morning and got a few shots in. Two black and white and one built up with the Trichrome process for a color image. I am digging the #Leica #Monochrom and the #Trichrome process. If you zoom in on the color one, you can see some fringing which is a byproduct of the trichrome process.

I’ve said about AI generated text “why should I bother reading something you didn’t bother writing”. This week I realized that I could use AI for those times when “why should I bother writing something you will not bother reading”

There is probably a dissertation in the relationship between Hee Haw going off the air in 93 and the almost immediate rise of right-wing talk radio. Correlation is not causation, but there are many interesting connections between the two.

Been playing with some very pretty Lillies in the studio this morning, I love experimenting with controlled low key exposures. Nikon D800, Bell and Howell 85mm f/1.4 #Lilies #FlowerPhotography #StillLifePhotography #BotanicalPhotography #StudioPhotography

A vertical, low-key colour still life of white lilies against an almost completely black background, surrounded by a narrow white border. Two open flowers occupy the lower half of the composition. The principal lily faces forward and slightly to the right, its broad white petals softly modelled by directional light. Dark rust-red anthers hang from slender pale-green filaments at its centre, with a few tiny grains of pollen visible on the lower petals. A second open lily overlaps from behind on the left, turning sideways and downward into deeper shadow. Above the flowers, two unopened buds rise on separate stems. The larger bud at upper left catches a soft glow, revealing pale cream and green longitudinal ridges, while the smaller bud at upper right remains dark and subdued. Long green leaves extend horizontally behind the flowers and merge gradually into the black. The stems and a narrow glass vase are only faintly visible beneath the blooms.
