Dario Amodei never actually gave me an interview, stiffing me after months of planning.
So I created a version of "Dario Amodei" using his own machine.
I fed Claude several published interviews, including everything Amodei said at Davos, plus the contents of his two books of essays, and told Claude to simulate the interview using variations on real quotes-and to make it like a scene from Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep. It took Claude less than three minutes.

The Japanese edition of National Geographic features a cover story about jazz kissas (listening cafes) by myself and photographer Tim Davis. The portrait is of the legendary Shoji “Swifty” Sugawara, owner of BASIE in Ichinoseki City, said to have the greatest-sounding hifi in Japan. Can confirm!

A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.
He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald
J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.
