Thanks to everyone for coming out for the first romp in the swamp of July & our first ever event falling on the 4th of July. Our 42 runners and walkers were treated to a light breeze and some watermelon at the finish. 🍉

56 runners and walkers joined us last week and we’re just about ready to do it all over again. This Saturday is the 334th edition of Louisville’s favorite free weekly 5K and we’d love for you to come out. Participate however you’d like and then join us for coffee at FOKO afterwards. 56 runners and walkers made the 2.5 lap trip around the park. 7 parkrunners snagged new personal bests and 10 folks joined us for the first time.

We were aided by 10 volunteers and a couple of unofficial ones.

Join the party in the back as it gets warmer. No shame in walking the hill.

The largest parkrun in North America was in Brooklyn, NY but the 2nd biggest was in Guelph, Ontario. Canadian events averaged 75 finishers per location while we averaged 59. The US had their 2nd highest attendance ever yesterday but there’s just something in the water in Canada. They love parkrun! 🇨🇦

On Saturday we welcomed our 3rd consecutive crowd of 60+ parkrunners. This included 11 folks getting their barcodes scanned for the very first time and 3 tourists visiting from White Lick Creek parkrun in Indianapolis. One of those visitors, Barb S, smashed the record in the women’s 70-74 age group
