Framework just changed my Laptop 13 Pro preorder to go from 32 GB of LPCAMM2 RAM to 16 GB. That is **incredibly** disappointing, even though I don't necessarily blame them. And it still won't ship until September, even though I preordered in April.

Despite only winning a single round, I managed to beat my seed (69 (nice)) and get 65th place in Motivation Academy #150 because two of my lower round opponents AFK'ed and were auto-DQ'ed. 🤷

I think if you needed any more evidence that the cuts are shortsighted and focused on cutting as deep and as fast as possible with little regard for the future, this is pretty definitive. That engine felt like magic in some spots. A colossal waste of talent and resources.

both of those articles are about how discs are fragile and unsafe, poor for digital preservation, and they argue for either 1) a return of cartridges (polygon) or 2) true ownership of data without DRM & platform locks (gizmodo) but you'd have to read more than the headline to find that out i guess
