Have you ever read or written a hospital discharge summary? Did it serve its purpose? Did it need more than just ‘the standard information’? Did the template help? We’d love to know what you think of our development ideas on this massive ongoing issue: Over 40 million are written a year! #discharge

Between January and March 2025, 31% of people who contacted us needed help with GP and primary care - mainly about booking appointments, digital tools and staff attitudes. We share this with Leeds Primary Care leaders to influence change. #HealthwatchLeeds #PrimaryCare #GPs
31% of the enquiries that we received were GPs. Themes were: Appointments and difficulty getting appointments and long waits. Digital (PATCHs and other online platforms not being available and difficult to use). People not feeling supported by their practice and staff attitude.

I've always loved the fact that the word 'sneeze' is the result of a historical accident. The original form, in the Middle Ages, was 'fnese', but someone mistook the 'f' for the long medieval 's' and wrote down 'sn-' instead. Fneezing sounds much more like a proper, nasal sneeze.
