I’ve written a short essay for BJGP Life: “When Care Feels Solitary.” Sometimes we continue to care when little seems to change, and that care can feel solitary. Perhaps carrying something ourselves is not quite the same as carrying it alone. #GeneralPractice #FamilyMedicine

What does it mean for an author to say “Yes” to AI-assisted writing? I wrote for the Journal of Medical Ethics Blog about how my own experience of writing with AI led me to think about authorship, continuity, trust, and why an author’s approval has a history. blogs.bmj.com/medical-ethi...

A lovely piece Koki. It opens up all kinds of questions about the value we place on reassurance (as opposed to listening, questioning, or any responses that are attentive rather than automatic.)

The narrative approach does not solely dominate conversations during GP consultations. Narrative is integrated with the normative. GPs also express their opinions.

There is a term called ‘interthinking’. It refers to the process by which ideas develop through conversation and coalesce into a shared understanding. Reflection sessions for GP trainees contain elements of social constructivism, and interrhinking is one such element.

A kind of empathy, such as 'It is reasonable to think like that in this situation', can hinder the development of a narrative. This is because, by taking the position, we cannot find any further questions to ask the narrator.
