I’ve written this up here. In addition to there not being a Covid-scale drop in tourism recently, you might also be wondering why visits from Mexico seem to double around 2004-05. The answer is not a sudden shift in Mexican preferences but rather our old friend, There Was A Change In The Measure.

Likely a terrible idea, but I'm going to persist in assigning a hopefully AI resistant assignment for my Family Policy class. It is process focused and assignments without full citations will fail. jrpepin.github.io/Family-Polic... #AcademicSky
1. **You will write a concise 1200–1500 word policy analysis** that
examines the issue, evaluates the accuracy of major claims, and
develops a well‑supported policy recommendation grounded in credible
evidence. This written component emphasizes critical thinking, media
literacy, and source evaluation (i.e., this is not general essay
    writing).
2. **You will create a short (60–90 second) TikTok‑style video** in
which you demonstrate your fact‑checking process for one claim
related to your policy issue. This is a process‑based media literacy
task, and production quality is not graded. What matters is that you
clearly show your reasoning, your steps, and your ability to connect
    evidence to policy analysis.

Wait until you hear about the University of Toronto's policy. Bewilderingly, an "A" grade starts at 80%.
For a larger first- or second-year course, the proportion of As in any given offering of the course might reasonably vary from 15% to 35%. Courses with marks consistently at the lower or upper end of this range should be reviewed to determine whether changes are needed to the course content, prerequisites, or assessment mechanisms. At the other end of the scale, the proportion of Fs in a first- or second-year course should generally not exceed 10%.
