My most accurate prediction since I started doing this. 68/68 in field 68/68 +/- 1 seed line (both firsts!) 54/68 seeded exactly 380 Paymon score, T-44th overall in the Bracket Matrix Very pleased with this — also thought the committee did a great job overall! Happy best time of year everyone 🏀

Happy Selection Sunday! Here's my final prediction: Texas is my last team in over Oklahoma; OU, Auburn & SDSU are the only others that wouldn't be a shock to see in. A couple of tough seed decisions depending on when the committee put their pens down (see comment below):

Friday bracketology update: Iowa St makes the 2 line after blowing out Texas Tech. I *think* they'll stay there, and it's Illinois & Michigan St for the last 2 seed. Auburn is (hopefully) out of the field after losing, and Oklahoma is last in for now; UNM/SDSU winner will pass OU if they lose though

one-loss Miami is probably going to make the NCAA Tournament with one of the last at-large spots but I am going to sharpen my pitchforks and wooden stakes and head to the NCAA selection committee headquarters just in case they mess this up on Sunday

VCU: prob needs to make A-10 finals to stay in Auburn: L today=out, W today=in? (bubble is so weak that only 2 games above .500 might be enough) SMU: in for now, but could get squeezed out by bid thieves Texas: same as SMU but worse; they'll likely get passed by UNM/SDSU winner (if both win today)

Thurs bracketology update: not much movement at the top -- Iowa St. passes Purdue (for now) as the top 3 & TCU moves up a seed line (BYU was already a 6 but had to be bracketed as a 7 before). Virtually every bubble team lost (again) so here's where I think things stand for my last 4 in (see below)

Bracketology update through yesterday's results: most movement is near (mostly below) the cut line. Va Tech and Stanford are virtually done following their early ACC tournament exits & IU barely stays in the field over UNM due to better metrics, though IU's Q1-2 record is bad enough to keep them out

I was looking for a WBB version of BracketMatrix and couldn't find any, so I fired up Codex and made one myself. (It’ll update every few hours until Selection Sunday, but not much will change now.) I'll plan to host it properly next season, but for now it’s here: whitakk.github.io/wbb-bracket-...

Congrats to Tennessee St, LIU, Northern Iowa, High Point & Queens for punching their tickets! Almost every bubble team lost yesterday, so SMU & Indiana stay in the bracket -- barely. VCU & Santa Clara look a bit safer now, but both will want to avoid early conference tournament exits.

MIAMI: 31-0. They've done it. They run the regular-season table. And to top it off, it's the 1,500th win in the history of the school. And their first in Athens since 2011. Instant classic. Unforgettable night. The RedHawks are an NCAA TOURNAMENT LOCK.

Friday bracket update! Indiana replaces New Mexico in Dayton, with VCU hanging on to the last spot. Cincinnati's win over BYU gets them into the mix, but they'll need to beat TCU and/or pick up multiple wins in the Big 12 tourney to have a shot. Auburn's game vs Alabama is a must-win

Happy March and conference tournament season! First full-bracket update -- UConn gets the 4th #1, Alabama jumps up to the 3 line and Vanderbilt falls to a 5 seed. Results: 15/16 teams correct (had Bama instead of TTU), 13/16 correctly seeded (also needed to switch ISU/Houston) & *10* teams on the exact S-Curve rank. I’ll take it! Also think the committee did a pretty good job overall with the seeding, curious to see if that keeps up on Selection Sunday

Happy top 16 reveal day! Here’s my guess: — ISU win vs HOU makes it close, but HOU still has the better resume — Teams 12-17 have 4-seed resumes, but GONZ has the best one & gets the last #3. The other 5 could be in any order IMO, but TTU is my odd one out due to Toppin injury, worse road record

Texas’s wins over Vandy & A&M put them in my field today, but lose and they’ll likely fall out for good. UNC & Boise both won yesterday, but I think they need to win today to get in. UC Irvine, Colorado St & Dayton are the only others with any kind of bubble chance (Wake will likely get passed)

Unfortunately think it’s going to be difficult — I’ve got them as #67 on the S-Curve right now (barely ahead of American). They’ll have to hope 3-4 lower-rated teams win their conference tournaments to push them up (not impossible, but they need some chaos)

Congrats to SIUE, Omaha, Lipscomb, High Point, and Drake for clinching bids over the weekend! Auburn stays overall #1 despite back to back losses. Despite big resume flaws, Ohio St (14 Ls) & Xavier (only 1 Q1 W) are in the field — because the teams below them have even bigger flaws…

First bracketology of March! A lot of tough seeding choices — at the top, Tennessee narrowly takes the last #1 over Alabama & Florida. The bubble is difficult too — in the end, Boise State is in by a hair over Nebraska & Xavier. Xavier & UNC each need a second Q1 win to make it in as of now.

New bracketology! The 7 line is full of teams that have stumbled a lot recently (UCLA, Kansas, Illinois, Marquette). On the cut line, Wake barely stays in after losing to NC State, mostly by default — SMU is first out but still doesn’t have a Quad 1 win. (Bracket reflects results through Saturday)

2: Houston (#6)
3: Wisconsin (#11)

Despite Saturday’s loss, Auburn stays the overall #1 in my latest update, followed by Bama, Tenn & Duke. UNC is the last team in, ahead of Arkansas. Shouts to UCSD — they’d prob have to win out until the BW title for any at-large shot, but amazing to even be in the mix in year 1 of eligibility!
Latest Bracketology update. Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, & Duke are the 1 seeds, North Carolina is the last team in, and Arkansas is the first team out.

Hi everyone! My first Bluesky bracketology post is also my first in-season update. Feeling fairly confident about the at-larges that I have in (though Drake definitely has a case to be included as well, just depends on how the committee views them — for now I think the metrics would keep them out)
