Post reading: I don't mean to downplay sexual assault but I also have known a lot of good people who had to learn healthy boundaries by violating someone else's and never forgetting the experience

One time when I was driving, there was some erosion in the parking spot that made it so the bumper hit the asphalt when I started pulling onto the road. I immediately checked it out because even if you don't know what you hit, you know you hit SOMETHING even for a MINOR incident.

Two completely different issues that by no means are contradictory. Prisons are institutional. Public shaming is social. We do not get to control people feelings. And reform by no means should require putting someone back to the position they held before. Especially as a media figure.

I don't blame women who see a potential abuser in every man, because I think the same way. Because we had similar experiences. Some of my first memories in life were of being horrifically, sexually abused. I have a memory of another man quietly witnessing and doing nothing to help.

I hate discussing this, I don't want to be mistaken for trying to take anything away from the women/girls who've been victims. My whole life I have related to them more than other men. But it hurts inside to hear my fellow progressives talk as if sexual assault is purely targeted at girls/women.

"The Outsider" (2020) series was probably the best Stephen King based production I've ever seen. Absolute shame they canceled it after a single measly season. Great vibes throughout. A horror mystery where the crime is slowly unveiled, but hard for the characters to swallow.
