Managing this - the effect the furious grief about the loss of your old life, the restriction and social isolation #mecfs has on your MH - is a job in itself in the first few years. Took me about 7 years to get to a non-dangerous-to-myself place with it. There's no help from the #nhs.

we don't have a welfare budget problem in the uk. that has been made up wholesale by our political and news media class in order to justify policies of eugenics. we spend the same percentage of gdp on welfare as we did in the 1980s.

The only idea I could think of to reversing this incredibly harmful policy would be a mass resignation or strike of school staff who refuse to work under a hateful segregationist policy. Inconveniencing the education of cis children would be perhaps the only way to get pressure to change course

School violence is now institutionalised & folded into legal compliance & 'safeguarding'. Individual teachers who provide 1-1 affirmation to a trans child cannot ameliorate the harm. A whole-of-school approach of refusal to follow harmful policy is needed. Few schools will have the stomach.

I knitted this 350ppm banner out of plarn 17 years ago, just before COP 15 in 2009. The banner went up to Scotland and was displayed on Skye bridge. 350ppm was the level of CO2 in the atmosphere in about 1988. We are now at 430ppm. #ClimateCrisis
